Loud press reports emerged that Barcelona officially communicated today with the successor of Spanish coach Xavi Hernandez to lead Barcelona from next season.
The Spanish coach had announced his departure from Barcelona at the end of the season after falling to Villarreal by five at Barcelona Stadium.
According to what the German newspaper “Bild” reported, FC Barcelona’s sporting director, Deco, called German coach “Hans Flick” to inform him of the administration’s interest in negotiating with him to succeed Xavi Hernandez as coach of the team at the end of the season.
Xavi announced his departure from Barcelona at the end of the current season, after the heavy loss in the last round at the hands of Villarreal by five.
The report stated that Hansi Flick, the former Germany and Bayern Munich coach, is currently in Spain for a family vacation, which facilitates the process of communicating with him.
Laporta is fond of the German coach’s style, and he also gives opportunities to young people, as he did at Bayern with Jamal Musiala. Therefore, Laporta sees him as the right man to lead Barcelona towards success in the future.
