Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola commented on recent reports about Real Madrid’s interest in including Erling Haaland.
Guardiola said in statements to the British newspaper The Independent: “Do you think we will change anything about what will happen?”
He added: “Haaland will decide whether to extend the contract or not, but I am not here to comment on every player, but we did not get any offers. Based on my information, perhaps there is information that the club has and I do not know it.”
He continued: “If someone wants to include Erling, it is easy. Call Manchester City and ask. This is what we do when we want to sign someone. “It’s not more complicated than that.”
He stressed: “We want Haaland to stay with us for a very long time at this club. For a long time because we love him and want him.”
He added: “I have no information about what will happen in the future.” “Haaland arrived last season and his impact was great, and at the beginning of this season, the numbers were really good as well, but he was injured for two months.”
The Manchester City coach continued: “This news does not cause me any distress, but I want to keep the players focused.”
He concluded: “Because it is a given that Real Madrid wants to sign the best players, whether in Man City or any other team, as well as Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, and others, and specifically because Haaland is performing wonderfully with us.”
