Barcelona player Ousmane Dembele has ended the controversy over his future with the Catalan club, commenting on his association with Chelsea.
Dembele has a contract that expires at the end of this month and is expected to leave in light of his agent’s rejection of Barcelona’s various offers for renewal.
In a video posted by the Actualité-Barça account on Twitter, Ousmane Dembele made statements regarding his future.
And recent reports indicated that the French international is close to moving to the Blues, and everything seemed to indicate that he would be outside the Catalan club after his contract expires on June 30.
But through a video posted on social media, a fan appeared to ask him from his car at a traffic light about his move to Chelsea, and he replied: “I am happy in Barcelona,” and he replied, “Are you going to continue at Barca?” Ousmane Dembele replied, “Yes.”
The French player was aware that he was being filmed, so he responded diplomatically, without confirming the renewal or departure.
Press reports indicated that the player’s agent was sticking to a salary of up to 20 million euros annually, which was rejected by the Barcelona administration.
Play was linked to working again with his former coach, Thomas Tuchel, at Chelsea, a deal that has not been resolved yet.
He was also linked with Tottenham Hotspur and Antonio Conte asked to sign him.
Dembele returned from injury to shine with coach Xavi Hernandez and become the most goal-maker in the Spanish League.
