Spanish press sources revealed that the Senegalese defender, Kalidou Koulibaly, of Naples, had offered to manage Barcelona for an unexpected amount to support the team’s defenses.
The name of Senegalese defender Koulibaly has been linked to a move to Barcelona for years, and is linked to a contract with the Napoli team that ends in the summer of 2023, which means that he may leave at the end of next season for free.
According to the Catalan newspaper, “Sport”, Koulibaly offered himself to Barcelona for 20 million euros to join the team this summer.
The newspaper pointed out that the agent, Vali Radmadani, Koulibaly’s business agent, offered his player’s services to the Barca administration, in reference to the approval of Naples officials on the principle of selling him.
This talk comes after Barcelona received 207 million euros in exchange for selling 10% of the rights to broadcast the team’s matches in the Spanish League, to the American investment company Sixth Street.
And Joan Laporta, president of Barcelona, had announced that the club was spending 200 million euros on deals in a press statement last Friday.
And the newspaper said that contracting with Coulibaly would save a lot of money for Barcelona, which was intending to include Julen Conde from Seville, Spain, with a 3-fold increase and a value of about 60 million euros.
And it was reported that the provision of Conde’s money by including Koulibaly, would give Barcelona the opportunity to bring Polish striker Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich, where the latter asked for 60 million euros, while Barca offered only 40 million.
It is worth noting that the name Barcelona has recently been associated with many names, most notably Leeds United winger Rafinha and Manchester City star Bernardo Silva, in addition to Lewandowski and Conde and Chelsea duo Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso.
