The amazing talent of the Italian national team, Wilfried Gonto, has revealed his dream for the club he wants to play for in the future and who aspires to carry his shirts in particular.
Gonto recently played more than one match with the Italian national team, scoring a goal and making another in the two matches against Germany in the European Nations League.
The 18-year-old Gonto, who got a chance with the Italian national team in the European Nations League with Roberto Mancini and clung to it and proved his worth, plays for the Swiss club FC Zurich.
Gonto told Sportweek that he would like to represent Barcelona one day.
Gonto said: “My dream is to play for Barcelona, Messi is my role model, even now he is a player for Paris Saint-Germain. He has gone through many sacrifices since his beginnings. His family supported him, and he never forgot his origins.”
He added: “He is a calm young man, he was not deceived by everything he reached, I see myself imitating him, and on the field he is unique.”
As the 18-year-old pointed out, Inter Milan, where he started his career, was not exempt from the option to return.
And about his time at Inter, he commented: “When I arrived in Milan, I was not a fan of Inter, for me there was only Barcelona and Messi.”
The Italian international indicated that he suffered a lot in his childhood, but he is aware of how much his parents helped him in many things, and that he “understands everything he gave him and feels very grateful” and thanked them for everything they did.
He concluded: “Then I became in love with the Nerazzurri, and sometimes I cried, as happened at the Juventus meeting in April 2018, where I was at San Siro with a friend of mine, and when Higuain scored a few minutes before the end of the match, we burst into tears. That night I became A true fan of Inter.
Here, it should be noted that Genonto’s impressive performance in the UEFA Nations League with Italy attracted the attention of many major European clubs, but this seems to be good news for the Catalan club, which is starting the pillars of the future with coach Xavi Hernandez.
